Maintenance and Troubleshooting
I hear other
calls while using
my headset.
• Disconnect the headset base from the
telephone jack, and plug in a different
telephone. If you still hear other calls,
the problem is probably in your building’s
wiring or local service. Call your local
telephone company.
Relocate your headset base to a higher
location. You may experience better
reception by elevating the headset base.
If the other phones in your home are
having the same problem, the problem is in
your wiring or local service. Contact your
local telephone company (charges may
apply).
I cannot hear a
ring tone from
the headset
when there is
an incoming
call.
If you have pressed MUTE/FLASH on the
headset when it is ringing, it mutes the ring
tone of the headset. The ring tone resumes
on the next call.
• If you are using a handset lifter, see the
TL7000 handset lifter user’s manual.
You may have too many extension phones
on your telephone line to allow all of them
to ring simultaneously. Try unplugging
some of the other phones.
The layout of your home or office might
be limiting the operating range. Try moving
the headset base to another location,
preferably on an upper floor.
