DTAD setup (1080 only)
CALL SCREENING
Use this feature to choose whether incoming
messages can be heard over the speaker when
they are being recorded. If you turn call screening
on, you hear the incoming private message on
your telephone when a call comes in.

[ ] or [ ] until you see DTAD SETUP.
Press [ENTER].
3. Press
[ ] or [ ] until you see CALL
SCREENING.
4. Press
[ ] or [ ] to choose ON or OFF.

NOTE: If the Do Not Disturb (DND) feature is
active (page 15 of the 1080 user’s manual), the
call screening feature is disabled automatically.
DTAD INTERCEPT
Choose whether private incoming messages can
be intercepted by other phones. Someone at the
1080 phone that is recording the message can
always intercept the call. If DTAD intercept is on
when a caller leaves a message, someone on
another system telephone sharing the same line
can answer the call by pressing the corresponding
line key.
