Taking Pictures with Your Favorite Settings
(Program AE Mode)
Recording mode:
The camera automatically sets the shutter speed and the aperture value according to the
brightness of the subject.
You can take pictures with greater freedom by changing various settings in [Rec] menu.

Set the mode dial to [ ].

Aim the AF area at the point you want to focus on.

Press the shutter button halfway to focus.

C ISO sensitivity
The focus indication D (green) lights when the subject is
focused.
The maximum close-up distance (the shortest distance at
which the subject can be taken) differs depending on the
zoom magnification. Please check with the focus range
display on the screen. (P34)
Aperture value and shutter speed are displayed in red
when correct exposure is not achieved. (Except when
using a flash)
