Displaying the firmware version
If this product fails to operate properly, you
may need to consult your dealer for repair. In
such cases, you may be asked to specify the
system version. Perform the following proce-
dure to check the firmware version of this
product.
1 Display the “System” screen.
Ü For details, refer to Customizing the
system settings on page 63.
2 Tap [Firmware Version Information] to
display to the firmware version of this
product.
Updating the firmware version
You can update the firmware version of this
product by using the USB memory device con-
nected.
❐ Before updating, check your firmware
version and prepare the firmware update
USB memory device by downloading the
newer firmware file from the pioneer web
site.
❐ “Firmware Update” can be set only when
the vehicle is stopped.
CAUTION
Never turn this product off while updating.
1 Connect the firmware update USB
memory device to the USB port on this
product.
2 Display the “System” screen.

system settings on page 63.
3 Tap [Firmware Update].
The “Firmware Update” screen appears.
4 Tap [Continue] to display the data
transfer mode.

Follow the on-screen instructions to finish
updating the firmware.
Customizing the favorites
menu
You can register the desired menu items on
the “Favorites” screen. Registering your fa-
vorite menu items allows you to quickly jump
to the registered menu screen by a simple
touch on the favorites menu.
❐ Up to 12 menu items can be registered on
the favorites menu list.
1 Press the Home button to display the
Home screen.
2 Flick the scroll area on the Home screen.

3 Tap [Settings] on the Home screen.
The setting menu screen appears.
4 Tap .
The “Favorites” screen appears.
5 Tap the item that you want to change
the settings for.
6 After changing the settings, tap to
return the Home screen.

2 Flick the scroll area on the Home screen.
